Education, Certification & Licenses:

• This position requires knowledge of merchandising and pricing, as
well as quantitative methods acquired through formal education or 2 - 3
years on-the-job application. Also required is computer proficiency in
spreadsheet software and word processing, and strong writing and verbal
skills to prepare reports and presentations. Equivalent to a BachelorÂ’s
degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years experience in retail pricing, merchandising and
customer analytics
• Prior project management experience
• Prior pricing experience, dealing with variety of pricing issues
including, elasticity analysis, pricing to consumer value, price
realization and other pricing topics

Computer Skills:

• Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

The Director, Pricing Strategy and Analytics is responsible for
providing strategic leadership for enterprise-wide (cross-departmental)
strategic pricing. This role leads the strategic direction of
enterprise-wide pricing strategies and tactical execution. This
position is responsible for partnering with key internal business
partners (merchandising, marketing, finance) to identify and analyze
opportunities to use pricing analytics to drive improved decision
making. This position will oversee resources required to run analyses
requested by various business units to measure the impact of pricing
initiatives with respect to sales, profit, and customer impact.
Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

1. Lead strategic and tactical planning process for enterprise
pricing initiatives.
2. Lead the strategic direction and pricing recommendation for
customer facing marketing efforts by utilizing key customer insights
(market basket data and promotional analysis).
3. Lead the development and maintenance of a corporate-wide pricing
strategy which leads to maximized profits and customer satisfaction.
4. Oversee corporate competitive price data acquisition and price
zone decisions.
5. Measure effectiveness of pricing strategy and make
recommendations to improve.
6. Work with regional business leadership to understand geographic
market requirements.
7. Advise senior management on the tactical and strategic risks and
benefits of pricing and promotional decisions.
8. Recommend pricing and promotion tests and lead execution in
marketplace to understand effectiveness.
9. Establish metrics relating to pricing and promotional activity
and monitor performance against these metrics.
10. Establish organizational capability to deliver thoughtful
analytics which converts market data to useful information.
11. Provide recommendations, size potential opportunities, and ensure
that actionable recommendations are delivered.
12. Assess competitive price positions for all channels (including
retail, eCommerce, SB direct and Business to Business (B2B) delivery)
and determine optimal price to support key business strategies.
13. Manage a team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of delivery.
